Solis BioDyne’s Collaboration with Fluxergy
Solis BioDyne, one of the leading reagent suppliers in Europe, began working with Fluxergy with the desire to test their SOLISFast DNA Polymerase PCR Master Mixes on a point-of-care system. Fluxergy’s POC platform was an excellent choice for this test, as the Fluxergy Analyzer is compatible with different cycling protocols, allowing for expanded testing capabilities. This case study set out to collect information on the efficacy of lyophilization in reagent shipping, the effects of UNG (DNA-repair enzymes) for decontaminating samples, as well as comparing run times on different platforms.
Throughout this study, Fluxergy’s dynamic team supported Solis BioDyne with all aspects of assay integration as well as troubleshooting testing. Because lyo-compatible reagents can be added directly to the Fluxergy Test cards and positive result determination requires only two positive wells, the Analyzer allowed for smooth experimentation. Interpretation of results is simple, as well; the Fluxergy Works software creates a simple and easy-to-read dashboard of results. During testing, SolisBioDyne found that the Fluxergy Analyzer’s cycling was approximately 20 minutes faster than their competitor.
The collaboration proved to be successful, as Solis BioDyne was able to validate the efficacy of their reagents while Fluxergy was able to successfully import an OEM partner’s testing assay to the Fluxergy Works platform. Solis BioDyne found the Fluxergy platform to be a great asset in assay R&D as well as easy-to-use for actual experimentation. They recommend Fluxergy’s products and services to other assay and/or reagent developers who are looking to do rapid PCR testing at the point-of-care.
